Cole Haan Trella Pump via Hautelook

I wore this outfit for Derrick's birthday dinner. I received a few raised eyebrows (specifically from my mom and the birthday man himself) because I dressed up like I was the birthday celebrant. I told them after all day refereeing the children/cousins, frequently reminding them "This is not a playground." etc etc I wanted do  something I enjoy! That something I enjoy is dress up, put on nice shoes and use my vintage Chanel.

This maxi dress came to the rescue! The empire waist and the flowy bodice help hide the wide hips. I did not have to fight jeans that don't fit or the skirts that won't zip.  I got it on sale from nordstrom rack, hence I could not link/find it anymore. But I found other options below...

Shoutout to my mom for her good taste. I realized that my accessories are from her (totally not planned) I just pulled these out from my jewelry drawer. The pendant is from her. She gave me the  gold bangles and red fashion bracelet. The tri-color ring was from HongKong and purchased by my mom as well.

What are your thoughts about suede in the summer? I have seen suede and fringe a lot this season. So I gave my pumps a try. They are the perfect height for me and the silver studs give it the Isis-bling I need. I got them from hautelook which is a Nordstrom company. Amazon has the pumps with a pretty awesome price. But they were $20 less when Hautelook featured Cole Haan.
