I am wearing jeans with instant ventilation.
It went up to the low 70s on the first week of November when I wore this outfit!

If we are IG friends, you already saw this on my feed. I just had to share it. Bastian has the sweetest baby voice. For the longest time, he did not talk! I was close to asking for a hearing test to make sure sounds are not muffled to him.

anyway, he was looking at my phone wallpaper and saw the saints. I opened BIS website and showed him the desktop wallpaper version. He loved saying the names of the saints after me.

Filmed during his baptism anniversary 11/3

I felt bad that we were not able to light his baptism candle this year :( Tuesdays are unbelievably crazy in this household. I work all day. I come home late (because I am still SLOW). With dinner, homework and bedtime routine, I forgot to take his baptism candle out of its remembrance box and light it for him....

This saint lesson is a pretty good replacement this year, don't you think?

smells like heaven {photo diary}

Don't babies just smell like heaven? I love to smell baby's hair -- specially my babies.
Even more so when these babes are newly baptized and the chrism is still fresh on their foreheads.

We opted not to keep the bonnet on... The children called Lucy the chef :)
She wore the same dress that Isabel wore on her baptismal day.

^^ She thinks it's a good choice to keep the bonnet off ^^

I love capturing candid photos -- like the one below.
see Lucy yawn. see the other children around us. Such precious moments.

^^It's so sweet to see my grandma with my youngest ^^

I kept this grainy photo in here... Because again, it captured special moments.
Our priest patiently waiting for all to come over and start the sacrament.
Isabel looking at him.
Derrick looking at Isabel lovingly.
I was gazing at the other babies being baptized. There was a set of twins and a baby girl.
They had such sweet saint names: St. Rita, St. Thomas and St. James the Greater (just like my SJ... who is named after St. James)

... for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
Galatians 3:27

^^ such a beautiful photo with Lucy's godparents (ninong and ninang) Even Lucy is looking at Lolo's camera ^^

^^ With all of our children ^^

^^ My heart is melting... Look at their sweet faces ^^

Guys, we have a saint in our midst! This sweet little babe's original sin is washed away. She is baptized in Jesus Christ.

... don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
Romans 6:3-4 (NIV)

fringe + red {wiws}

What a blessed day! Our Sweet Lucy is baptized.
I still have to copy the big camera photos from my FIL but here's a preview of her sweetness.

This is what I wore on this wonderful day....

I searched for white dresses. I looked at peplum tops and pencil skirts. Nope. I returned them. I looked for a maxi dress. I returned those too.

Then when i was about to give up, I found this cute dress on nordstrom on sale! I got the cream and black to try on but ended up returning the cream color.

It's the story of my life during breastfeeding times. I love dresses but so hard to wear them when nursing. I found this over the shoulder dress which is not quite as crazy as strapless ones but still breastfeeding-friendly.

Fringe is also the thing this season. Fringe is everywhere. Boots, Bags, Dresses

A lot of key pieces with stories behind them.

The earrings I wore are from my mom... I wore them at my rehearsal dinner almost 9 years ago.
The red bracelet is also from her.
The gold bangles are from my grandma.
The Our Lady of Miraculous Medal ring is from my mom (again)... She has the same ring that I adored for years. I finally asked her to get me one for my birthday... and she did!

Words from our pastor's homily:

The world has not been the same since God’s Son entered into history as a human being; His coming was a true disruption of the status quo. Through Pope Francis, Jesus will be coming in person to the United States, and a great disruption is exactly what should occur. We may remember that when Jesus entered Jerusalem on Holy Week, the crowds cheered for Him; but by the end of the week they were shouting, “Crucify Him!” Why? Because Jesus disrupted the way of life with which Israel had become comfortable. Complacency is one of the greatest enemies of the Gospel.

The New Evangelization calls for disruption of life at every level, beginning with individuals. We need to be shaken up, and challenged by the call of Jesus Christ to enter the Kingdom of God... Jesus calls us not to be conformed to the world, but rather, to transform the world through Gospel values.
