1. NYFW is going on. I follow all these bloggers visiting NYC. It's like a sorority reunion. I haven't been to an EDEL gathering nor NYFW. You could say it's in my dream bucket list to attend both.

These jeans that were *onsale during the nordstrom sale - well, hello! They are $10 less from that sale price. They are designer jeans so on the pricey end.

Also the madewell highrise pants that I love are also onsale. But only few sizes left in stock.

7.  I got this Marian bandanna a couple of weeks ago.  Sorry, you cannot see Mother Mary at all. My photographer did not tell me. This means we have to do another photo shoot wearing this bandanna. Get it here on Erica's shop.

After these photos were taken, I had this look of horror. I thought I was wearing a red pencil skirt. But the photos made the skirt look more bright pink (!) Since I thought I was wearing a red skirt, I wore my red Ferragamo flats. It was still cold during the presentation, so I wore  some tights. I thought they are black but in some angles, they are dark blue! Wow.... this outfit just kept getting worse! Add the Chanel mini ~ wrong shade of red.... again....

happy 10 years old, disisd.
This blog started as d-isis. since it was just me and hubs... then once we have added more and more munchkins, it just made sense to change this to disisd. the D at the end is because of the D-crew.

To celebrate a decade of being a blogger, I am giving away a few of my favorite things. A couple are for winter months.

Another winter treasure ~ you'd be ready once the autumn and winter chills arrive. You will be cozy and warm with your new blanket scarf! {Sorry I just went to look for a stock photo and they are all sold out... I will update this with a picture of the actual scarf I have bought}


I love to doodle. Although I type/blog, I still enjoy a good planner with lots and lots of cute markers and pens. I use these everyday on my planner and when jotting down Scripture, to-do lists, meal preps. Name it.






Lastly, I am sharing a canvas print of the Morning Offering Prayer. we have this at our home. I made this digitally and would like to send a reader an 8 x 10 canvas print of this prayer.

bye, bye beach umbrella. after protecting our family from the sun's rays for 6 years, we had to leave you in NC in pieces.

 

 

My dad went the day before to Jacksonville and bought milkfish, mackerel and squid to grill. Lunch was amazing! I had never gutted fish before (eeek) but have seen my grandma do it. I gladly let dad do all the fish-gut cleaning.

Thanks, dad, for such a lovely lunch. The children loved the grilled seafood.

Who takes your photos?
My husband and 6.5 yo son take my photos.
Have you seen this video? Hubs has fully embraced his instagram/blogger husband role. It started with rolling of his eyes and questions like: again? photos again?
now he doesn't ask those questions anymore.
My son still does though.



Do you pay them?
I don't. It's part of my hubs' husband responsibilities. {lol!}
I told my son I will pay him 50c for each photo session. He has not asked or collected yet. Good thing they are all published here. I can look back and count how many times he has taken my photos.
He's gotten a long way..His early days as my photographere here.... and all the way here....




How about Isabel? She can take your photos, right?
She can take iPhone photos alright. It's still hit or miss though. Sometimes my head is cut off.
She does not have a steady hand, yet. So the big camera is out of the question.
But yes, if I am still posting OOTD photos for years to come, I have 3 more in training besides my eldest. {har!}



How do you do it all? 
short answer: I don't.

long answer: I don't do it all.
This blog features mostly outfits and happy smiles from my kids. however, that's only one side of the coin. My house is not always clean. My children misbehave. I  don't wear make-up all the time. I love jeans and tee-shirts kind of day.



What? you blog?
I don't broadcast my blog at work. In fact, I don't really like talking about the blog at work. That's my professional side. This one is my creative outlet... my therapy... I also post faith and family opinions here that I don't talk about at work.



Are you guys done? {referring to having more babies}
I don't think so. I am happy with my four babies.
However, in my heart
We sure would like to space them more than 2 years though!
