Rejoice!

Chanel Jumbo Classic Single Flap
Salvatore Ferragamo, flats, bought last season when on sale.
Happy Easter, dear friends!
For the first time, we were not running late for Easter Mass. We got to the church 15 minutes before Mass started. it's nice to see the house of God so full of people. No one passed out.(It seems like every Christmas or Easter -- when the churches are full -- somebody passes out from heat or another reason... and EMS gets called.
I had plans to wear a white dress and a pair of fun heels. But the weather forecast was 40-60% chance of thunderstorms. I went with this green dress instead and brightened it up with my Ferragamo flats.
It only sprinkled here in Indy. The heavy rains went north of us. Missed us altogether.

more Easter photos with my little lady

Happy Easter Tuesday!

ignore my pasty white face. I am still playing with make-up... Overexposure and beginner make-up skills DO NOT MIX (hubs are you reading this??? come on, help me here... make sure you get the right exposure....)

Some thoughts about Easter...

-- Why do egg hunts happen on Saturday? I know we are all celebrating with our family on Sundays, hence community egg hunts happen the day before. But it's giving our children mixed signals... we should be waiting patiently for Easter Vigil.

-- I am glad Target was closed on Easter Sunday. Good job for giving your workers a day off.

Easter Monday

Pretty quiet here. Just the way I want it...
Meal prep done.  Little bit of laundry done.

I wasn't even sure if I'd be able to blog these photos. But the older two are with their grandparents. They asked to spend the night there. Lucy is napping. Sebastian is supposed to be napping but back to playing with his paw patrol. He was done coloring with me.

So here goes. Photos of Lucy, Sebastian and hubs.

He is our hope {wiws}

Christ my hope is arisen...
...Christ indeed from death is risen
Sequence - Victimae  Paschali Laudes

Let's start with a blurry iphone photo of the family after Easter Mass.
I promise there are nonblurry ones that will make it on the blog... this week.. next week.

After all, Easter is a season. Not just a day!
In fact, thanks to Rosie, I will be (hopefully) posting ways how we keep the momentum of Easter celebration.

Christos Anesti! {part ii}

Featuring the chicks and mother hen....

I took about 10 pictures and these two were the ones close to "acceptable."
We went to Easter Morning Mass at our old parish, Christ the King. We took our sweet time eating pancakes and bacon. We knew there was NO WAY we were going to make it to 10:30a Mass. Thankfully, just a mile or so from our parish church is Christ the King. This was the church where Daniel was baptized. It was great to see familiar faces... Ones we haven't seen in years! Lucky us, we got there just in time for the opening hymn. The church looked full from the back but voila, the front rows were empty. There, we were... brave young family, corralling our 3 kids under 5 years old. We sat behind the Eucharistic Ministers. It was pretty much the front row.

Guess sunnies, similar // Old Navy belt, similar, splurge // Target girls, cardi, old

Ms. Isabel Zulily pink dress // Old navy cardi // Elsa flats (gift), similar ones from Stride Rite to Michael Kors

Old Navy Maternity maxi dress, similar  // Naturalizer Kate Middleton pumps or the real thing, here

Mr. Dapper2 (caught in the act)
Janie and Jack Linen button down, similar // Old navy tie

The children enjoyed their Easter Baskets.... and so did I.
Presenting my residency graduation present.  I just celebrated my one year anniversary as an attending and I am just now using my bag! The leather has not darkened yet -- so it looks, fake, huh? hehe...

I waited till 6 months post-graduation till I ordered this baby.  It took me another 6 months to use it. . Every time I thought about using it, it was either raining or snowing. I did not want to stain the new bag.

Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM

I call this Louis II.
I ordered the mon monogram version. I used pink interior, and pink and mustard shading for my initials. I skipped the racing stripes.

Everybody had a fun Easter!
Most of all, I reminded the children that Easter is not about fancy new outfits or chocolates or designer purses. Daniel pointed up to the sky, agreeing with me that Easter is all about Jesus. Jesus conquering death. Jesus is Risen! Alleluia!

The children spent holy Saturday morning at the egg hunt hosted by our deanery's catholic high school. It was packed there as usual... Maybe more children/families this year. Besides the Easter bunny, silly safaris was there with animals that the children got to see up close.

We also met with our close friends afterwards. It was an impromptu play date.

Happy Easter, dear friends!

Post your fancy outfits... I'd like to see them. So far, my fave family photo is the Weinert's! I love their beautiful outfits!
