weekend recap: clickables and videos

sweater, old
tights,  girls dept

It was a busy weekend.

First off Friday night paint night. It has been 35 weeks since I've gone for a paint class with cocktails. I've painted at home for my sister's bday gift but that took forever. Those flowers were hard. They broke me.

Apparently it took ~20 weeks till I was ready to paint again.

Oh I missed it.

See my gargantuan alien building. It is supposed to be the Eiffel Tower. But I was not sure if it's a hybrid of the space needle and the Eiffel Tower. Mine is neither.

After a lazy Saturday, we all joined Daniel for his scouts night at the hockey game. My children were awesome. Nobody had a meltdown. Nobody fussed. We stayed there until the buzzer hit 0.00 on the clock.

Daniel did not want to shoot the puck after the game -- whew. No complaints for this mama. There were about 500 or more kids in line to shoot the puck. We got his BSA circle of fun patch. Pretty cool!

I snap chatted a few moments. Here's the summary on YouTube.

Come super bowl Sunday:
After Mass, hubs and I went to the musical Sweeney Todd. It was "well-down." {got it? meat pies well-down?}

I wore this outfit!

And then of course, we watched SuperBowl 50 and supported Peyton Manning

I am so happy for him! He did a fun interview on the TodayShow. He's a pro. He's been doing interviews for YEARS/Decades. Glad he did not budge and he did not say things that he will regret. Whether he retires or not, I am just so happy for him!

I hope he retires as a Colt. Even if he does not retire as a Colt -- he will be in the Hall of Fame as a COLT. you said so, hubs. counting on your word!

I don't like jampacking my weekends like that... but it was fun.
How about you? What did you do this weekend?

mostly about Lucy + and a taco dip question {7qt}

linking up with Kelly for SQT this Friday Eve.

1. 7 months old
Lucy loves the camera! It can be the big camera or my iphone  -- she's ready to give me her biggest smile. She's also a snapchat veteran. She and her Kuya Bastian love to snapchat.

2. we started solids
She loves her pureed baby food. Bananas and pears are her faves.
That does not mean we are not going to give her her green beans and peas. Sorry girlie. You will have to keep trying those greens!. Veggies are good for you.

3. #misslucytherese
I have also posted a few Lucy's OOTD on my instagram.
nothing too fancy.
I love this video! you should watch it. it will crack you up.

4. Lucy and I were loners today.
The middle two were with my in-laws since yesterday. They did not come home until it was time for Isabel's ballet at 5pm.

We are so, so blessed to have our in-laws nearby.
Thank you so much Lolo and Lola for keeping the middle two. I have nothing planned today. But I made sure to make way on all my to-do list.

Grocery shopping done!
Laundry done!
Cooking done!
Patient messages done!
(some) cleaning done!
Reading done!
now blogging!

It's funny how i accomplished all these things with one child. Whereas when i only had Daniel, I was freaking out, wondering when I will be able to do my to-do list.  God truly gives us the grace to take care of the little souls he gives us.

5.  It's Superbowl weekend.
I am making a taco dip and taco meat.

here's how I make my taco dip.

mix 8 oz of sour cream and 8 oz of (softened) cream cheese with 1 packet of taco seasoning.
place at the bottom of the dish.
layer rest of ingredients in this order:

salsa
green onions
shredded mozarrella and cheddar cheese or the mexican cheese package already available in the dairy section
diced tomatoes

Somebody suggested I add refried beans. I am thinking of putting that at the very bottom. What do you all think? where should I put the refried beans? at the very bottom? or in between the cheese/taco layer and the salsa??

6. Older bro
Sebastian means well. He smothers his sister with kisses. smothers***
He gets close to her  (not even kissing her yet) and she starts grunting.

He was not happy that  I was only taking photos of his little sister. Remember this photo? He looked like that. He perfected that look. He should trademark it SJ pout.

Next thing -- he sat next to Lucy and posed for the photo. of course, he deserves to be on this post. I like it when people take the initiative.

7. Lent starts next week!
I will be writing a post about my spiritual plans for Lent. I like to make lists so might as well put it out there... who's gonna make me accountable?

Lucy says have a great day!
xoxo

Super Time at the Super Bowl Village

Wednesday, Feb 1st was unseasonably warm for Indianapolis. No complaints since it's superbowl week in Indy! Isabel, Daniel, Derrick, Lolo Frank and I went to downtown to check out the Super Bowl Village and NFL experience.

It was crowded downtown as expected. We saw a lot of families enjoying the festivities. We even saw our friends, the Downings!

He loves this football so much. He has been sleeping with it for 2 nights now.
He carries it everywhere!

It's nice to have Indy (a midwestern city) receiving the limelight. We are proud of our city: beautiful, family-oriented, hospitable. We know how to throw a partayyyy!

If you live in Indy, share what you love about it!
If you live in another city, also share what you love about your place!

7 quick takes Vol 1

7 quick takes sm1 Your 7 Quick Takes Toolkit!

1. Daniel loves HOODIES. He has been wearing them with his hood up. So, so cute!

2. Isabel's first week in school: She only went 2 half days. Baby and I did well since we were only separated 4-5 hrs per day. It's a different ball game when it will be 24-30 hrs apart. My first hospital call is in a week. Since I'm anxious, this verse comes to mind: Philippians 4:6-7 which starts like this "have no anxiety about anything...."

3. Plugged duct again! I saw my family doctor, finally called my OB, called the Lactation consultants (again for the 6th time) and met with them to review the basics. I am currently on antibiotics to finally, hopefully resolve this issue. Praise God for a normal Ultrasound!

4. Super Bowl village -- the entire Delima family went. It was such a warm, nice day in Indy (temps hit the 60s!)

5. Komen stops funding Planned Parenthood announced earlier this week. However, before the work week ended, the big advocacy group did a 180 on their decision.
6. Vera get carried away tote -- Fail!!!! I went to work for half a day last Tues and the bag was too heavy. I needed to disperse the weight so I got myself a hot pink backpack as my pump bag.The rest of my stuff can be placed in my not-as-big VERA tote.

7. Super excited for a super weekend for the Super Bowl!
