We heard about the prophet Elijah in the first reading at Mass. The priest talked about how dramatic he is.

He prayed for death saying:

“This is enough, O LORD!

Take my life, for I am no better than my fathers.”

How about when he "showed off" the LORD's power against the prophets of Baal in 1 Kings 18? Talk about outshining everybody!

--------------------------------------------
At the time for offering sacrifice, Elijah the prophet came forward and said, “LORD, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command.

Answer me, LORD! Answer me, that this people may know that you, LORD, are God and that you have turned their hearts back to you.”

The LORD’s fire came down and devoured the burnt offering, wood, stones, and dust, and lapped up the water in the trench.

As I reflected on the readings, I thought that if I am prophet, I will be totally like Elijah. So much flair, so much drama. This is enough, O LORD. Take my life.... Answer me, LORD, answer me......

Specially when I was young and immature (some will say i still am), I was on the extremes. Too much drama when happy. Too much drama when sad and weepy. I am glad in some ways, I have toned down quite a bit. There's still flair and drama when I dress up though. Just like accessorizing or posting OOTDs. Emotion-wise, I have a better handle with my attitude and drama.

But one thing to remember is that Elijah did the flair for the LORD. He prayed that the LORD will outshine those false prophets.

Hopefully all this flair I have, I can use to raise these children in the right path. They joined me today and the photo shoot was a lot of fun, as evident with the pictures below. This post is a photodump. I just like them all and cannot choose 1 or 2.

Also, today is Daniel's Baptism Anniversary. After dinner tonight, we will light his baptism candle and celebrate his second birthday. That's how I ended up explaining it to him. An important day when he formally became a child of God  and original sin is washed away. How about you? How do you explain baptism anniv's to your children? Do you celebrate them?

The post looks semi-good when I choose the right poses. But the BEST poses are ones showing REAL LIFE with my bunch. Like the ones below.

where do you think she got her flair?

^^perfect timing, D.

Now the walking photos. You gotta have the walking photos.

These photos are cute. Daniel took them.

And to finish this post, how about kissy photos???

Finally, we got it right.
Hope you are having a restful Sunday. I am off to a movie date with hubs.... and Lucy!
