honey sesame chicken nuggets

These are super easy to make but time consuming.

Prepping the nuggets take the longest but it's super easy.

I preheated the oven to 400 degrees. I cut one lb of chicken tenderloins (Costco pack x 2) into bite sized pieces. I seasoned chicken with salt and pepper.

I then breaded the chicken. Flour --> 1 egg, whisked --> panko breadcrumbs.
The recipe asked for 1/4 cup of flour and 1 cup of panko breadcrumbs for  1/2 lb. I still doubled what's asked and I still ended up using more.

Lined the chicken onto a baking sheet. I used these nonstick silicone mat. It was super easy clean-up.

I baked the chicken for 15 minutes until they are golden brown.

While the chicken is baking, I made the super easy sauce.
In a medium sauce pan, i heated the 1/2 tbsp of vegetable oil. I added 2 tsp of minced garlic (again from Costco) and I cooked it for 1 minute (just to let it smell good but not burnt!).

Then, I added 6 tbsp of honey, 1/2 tsp sesame oil, 4 tbsp of vege oil and 2 tbsp of soy sauce. I added a dash or two of red pepper flakes (I like it spicy but my kids don't so I did not add much. you can skip this if you want).

I let the sauce simmer until thickened.

Once the chicken is baked, I tossed them in the sauce! YUMM!
