I received a lot of compliments with this dress. From school drop off, to clinic, to lunch (from strangers), to my neighbors... wow. I did not think much of this outfit. I just needed to put on something that I know will stretch to my growing belly and growing body.
My neighbor said: that I looked like I was going to the ball. {wow}
This is a nonmaternity dress with empire waist I got secondhand. Maxi dresses are (again) forgiving and stretchy. From First trimester --> to third trimester, I can surely wear them. As long as the bust area has some cinching. I do have other maxi dresses that are fitting at the top. Bust/chest area also tend to increase in size during pregnancy (especially if you like ice cream like me)
Here are a few maxi dresses that you can wear pregnant or not:
-- Apt 9 Maxi tube dress
-- Nordstrom maxi dress
--BCBG victoriya maxi dress
-- Anthropologie Amadi Nico maxi dress
-- White House Black Market Strapless Floral print maxi dress

Looks great! I've been living in maxi skirts and dresses! They are so forgiving and definitely grow with you!
ReplyDeleteYou look great, and Isabella is adorable. I'm also wearing a non-maternity maxi as maternity wear right now!I hope it lasts me the rest of the summer. It's already more snug in the chest than it was before!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! And I was all about maxis (maternity and non) last pregnancy- I love how they are so forgiving and easy to throw on, oh, and since you don't have to worry about them being nursing friendly while preggo they're pretty perfect. ;)
