Join us for JEI – just enough info. Answer the following 3 questions:
- Do your children attend your parish’s religious education program?
No… My children go to our parochial
school instead of public school or homeschool. I bet we can still send them to
our “Sunday school” but we just haven’t looked. We take them all to Mass with
us, ages 7 to 18 mos old. I know some churches that we have visited that have “religious
ed” during a late morning Mass and then invite the children to the Parish
education room during homily.

- Do you or have you ever taught religious education?
Yes, I did. I taught Sunday religious ed to first and second graders when I was in college and medical
school. I haven’t volunteered to do it again now that I am out of residency.
- What is your favourite religious education resource for kids?
Catholicmom.com is a favorite site
of mine… from seasonal activities to Sunday’s Gospel activities. Then for more in-depth reading, I go
to the catechism website. I love teaching. I love activities
but I need guidance.
I’d love to see your favorite
religious education resource for kids!

I'm loving the Burberry!! But, aside from that, thanks for linking up!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was attending parochial school (only a couple years) growing up, I also didn't have to attend CCD/Religious Education. That seems pretty common!
And, I need all the guidance I can get when it comes to teaching the faith to littles... I don't "do" too much in the way of crafts and hands-on activities - yet. :-D
