My son asks: momma, why do you buy stuff all the time?

Really, is it that obvious that I love to shop?

There is something about real leather and well-made shoes. yes, we can go to our local WM or payless shoe source and get something cute for $15-20... but if you'd like to invest and have comfy shoes, you will have to be willing to shell out something over $20 (if needed!)

Naturalizer shoes are well-made. I have my Lennox pumps, worn here, here and here.

So when my sister texted me letting me know that zulily was having a naturalizer sale: i opened my app and checked out the sandals!

The dahnny sandal is perfect for summer-wear! The stacked heel gave me stability. The leather and footbed are must haves! believe me.

This is getting REAL. we could have a baby in 4 weeks or as early as 2 weeks!

we still do not have a new baby carseat. The one with the carrier/bucket seat is expired because it is over 5 years old. {do you know carseats have expiration dates?}

I am thankful I won't be pregnant ALL summer long. It was cloudy yesterday so the forecasted 79F only felt low 70s. The time at the pool was perfect. Today.... different story. it's hot and humid and breezy. Hellooooo summer!

I love summer because I am a shorts, skirts, dress and sandal person. But I also love my AC.

Another note: it's been a battle asking Isabel to wear bike shorts underneath her dresses or skirts. She says "I am not a princess" when she wears her shorts. So today, after another tantrum, she said wanted pants (meaning tights) so even though it's 90 degrees, she endured the tights over her shorts.

How do you deal with your toddler girls who love to play rough and go up and down the slides and monkey bars? Do you ask/make them wear bloomers or bike shorts?

Introducing my "new-to-me" Kate Spade red handbag. I won it (where-else?) on eBay. It replaced my 1.5 year old Isaac Mizrahi brown leather tote that I got from hautelook. I love changing purses, if you cannot tell. It helps me clean my workbag and purge and purge papers and junk that are long-forgotten. This one is a little bit smaller than my previous workbag but that is a good thing! As my husband said: I pack to whatever size bag I have. if I have something small, that's all I carry. If I have a carry-all, I always just end up stuffing things inside filling it all up!

birthday treats

What a fun day! From our lunch to after-dinner walk ~ I used birthday coupons and rewards. 

I took Bastian and Isabel to Panera bec it was next to the library. (oh yeah library on June 1st is chaos... pure chaos... kids everywhere, kiddie computers were all used) I got a pastry treat for my birthday which isabel enjoyed. At the same time, I have a free bowl of soup from my frequent diner rewards. {fist bump}

Next was starbucks drive-thru run after picking up Daniel. He loves the Banana nut bread. So for my birthday reward, I got him that. It was nice to share my birthday treats to the little ones...

I was not planning on using my birthday coupons but after dinner and cheesecake, I just wanted to walk off a few of the calories. 

We found ourselves at Anthropologie. I got this dress from the sale rack. Because of the V-neck, it's perfect for breastfeeding, don't you think?

Then we went to Banana Republic. it's 40% off sale priced items there right now! Crochet and lace are all the rave this season! I just have to have a dress or skirt or top made of crochet or lace. I found this pencil skirt... After the 40% off sale and then my $15 birthday coupon, I got the skirt for $22! I cannot wait to wear it post-baby!

I'd say my 32nd year is off to a good start!
