For the 6th week of social distancing, I am finally getting the groove of this working from home and schooling from home. There are still lots of yelling and tantrums. But all in all, I am trying to be present and be grateful of these times I have with my family. When else can I be at home and work from home and spend ALL these loving moments with them?
I am focusing on the positives:
forced slowing down of time
empty calendars
not rushing to get out of the house
being left alone when doing my virtual exercise classes
freedom to wear sweats when I want to
wearing jeans or ripped pants when doing virtual visits and telemedicine
support from our school, lesson plans
wearing heels for fun
D is working from home
my family is healthy
a second "maternity leave" with my now ten-month-old
back at cross stitching and embroidery
daily Mass with the Pope
we still have our jobs (when millions and millions are unemployed)
we are together (when those sick with the pandemic are isolated and fighting the battle at the hospital alone without visitors)
facetime with grandparents who we haven't seen face to face since shelter in place
laughter and hugs whenever

What a cute black and white outfit and I like the red heels for a pop of colour! I'm pleased you are seeing the positives to being at home, It's a struggle sometimes, especially balancing work and helping kids with online learning! I am glad it is safe to lift restrictions here so the kids can go back to school :)
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a good week :)
