I am an awful linkup host! Apologies for posting what I wore Sunday linkup on Tuesday!
Our Saturdays have been so crazy with four soccer games that I do not get a chance to sit and just be, much less blog. The last weekend of games is coming up. We do not have any winter sports.   We like the break.

As I go through the motions of the weekend and now the work-week ~ I was reminded of what my mentor told me once. He prefers his week at the hospital rather than monotony of clinic. He said he thrives in chaos! He likes the busyness of the hospital consults. He has the come what may attitude!

I like the stability of work. I want to be prepared for whatever comes (as much as I can). I like to control things. I like the schedule and monotony of clinic.

Outside of work, in my family, I am like my mentor. I thrive in chaos. I am the organizer of the mess (if that makes sense). I like being busy but I also like the naps and the slowing down. Soccer season is winding down so the break is near. Maybe that's why I can survive this chaos. I can thrive in this chaos because I know this too shall pass. The chaos is not permanent. It is only temporary.

How about you? Do thrive in chaos? Do you like drama?
Do you like the routine? or are you more "come what may; bring it on life!" person?

  1. Been a crazy busy week here so finally got to linking up! I love the color combo, the pink is very pretty with the grey. I was planning to put a pair of grey jeans on my want list but since I do have a nice pair of ponte skinnies in grey this year I will use them the way I would grey jeans. Glad soccer is almost over!

  2. Haha- when I was working on the floor chaos did not jive with me- constant trouble shooting with machines breaking down, new admission after new admission, and all the things that veered away from the regular schedule...I loved the days that just flowed nicely! For our family I can handle chaos when I know what's coming and know it will pass.:)

  4. Such a great outfit! I love pink and gray together and your lacy tunic is so beautiful. I like structure in my life. In fact, I need it to function. But I also like to turn things on their head every few months or so. So I guess I thrive in chaos as well. But I also thrive in structure. I need a combination of the two! Great post. And I am so sorry that I didn’t make it over here in time to join the link party.
