Sharing some outfits I already posted on instagram but not here on the blog. I have been "micro-blogging" on instagram. I post there daily. Since I intend to print my blog posts (publish a book!), I want to share some of those captions and thoughts here.

If i didn’t let go of the notion of a perfectly decorated and clean home, I’d never host a #blessedisshebrunch. My house is by no means the way I want it to look. There’s clutter. There’s lots to clean. Our ceiling in our sunroom has a hole (!) and is still not repaired! But I did have a clean dining room and a yummy #eggcroissantcasserole. There’s flowers (thanks @dianastlouis) and lots more food to share (thanks wonderful ladies who made it today). Thanks @derrick49ers for taking 8 kids to the park so we can have a couple of hours of fellowship. Nash and I enjoyed brunch.

Who would have thunk it? Making #indiana home? I’m an #indianatransplant. I married @derrick49ers who is another Indiana transplant. Now we have made Indiana #ourhome. I’m #bornandbred per se in the #IUfamily attending #iumedicalschool, IU #pediatricresidency and IU #neurologyresidency. I am now an IU #faculty mentoring future #physicians. 
All of my 6 children are #Hoosiers! Indiana is a great place to raise them. #midwestvalues I just wish Indiana winter is shorter 😓 😝 
Who do I need to thank for transplanting me here? My mamey @spencercali! I would have lived in KY and be a #southerngirl if she didn’t move here ♥️

🌸🏖♥️ #bittersweet that my favorite season is leaving to make way for autumn. Bittersweet that my maternity leave with my sweet baby Nash is almost over. The song above resonates to me today.

Slowly getting there emotionally about leaving this baby... I thank grandparents for taking the other children so days like today, I’m able to spend one and one time with him just snuggling before school pickup.

How do I do it all? 
First, I don’t. 🤣
Second, the way I dress affect my mood. So I make an effort to dress well. That is not to say I don’t enjoy a day of comfy pjs all day 🤪 Whatever lifts you up, may it be something superficial, like me dressing up for the day, do it. If it helps you face the day, do it. Some moms, it’s a HIIT workout to tackle another laundry day. Some moms, it’s putting make up on every morning. Some moms, it’s decorating and organizing. 💜
So here I am at school pickup a few days ago. I curled my hair and wore this purple dress. @derrick49ers saw me and asked: wow you wore that to school pickup? 
Ok fine, sometimes I do get overboard.

I love to dance. I took #ballet and #jazzclasses. I miss them. Someday when I’m not busy mommy-ing, I’d like to attend a group class again and perform on stage 😉 for now, I’m reliving the days I was able to fit in my old leotards by doing some plies with #xtendbarre. #movementislife#danceisasport #danceislife

I’m almost halfway on my #maternityleave. Mixed emotions here. Happy that my recovery has gone smoothly and Nash is a healthy babe. Sad that summer is almost over. Sad that this newborn stage is going by soooo fast. 🌸 
I don’t know what to feel that in a few days I’ll be cleared to workout and then I won’t have any more excuses not to do it... I had gestational diabetes and have a strong family history of diabetes so besides weight loss, I have a good reason to take exercising seriously. It’s my health. 🌸
With every worry filling my head ~ Let’s blame the #postpartum hormones shall we? 🌸
When you are overwhelmed, whether postpartum or not, what’s your best way to deal with worry? 🌸 
I’ll go first. 

➡️Slow down and rest. ➡️Go for a walk. ➡️Sleep. ➡️Prayer of course. ➡️Date night.

What #motherhood looks like right now: crying toddler in the van who refused to get out. Crying newborn inside the house. A preschooler who needed help at the potty. They all want #mummy at the same time... see our stories (or swipe to the left) to get the perfect recipe for the perfect tantrum. Summary: Let them all jump for an hour without a nap then don’t feed them snacks... 😣 thanks to my sister @dianastlouis and dad who gave me the courage to take everyone out. I would have gone crazy today without their help. I cannot take care of 9 kids under 10 yo.
