Fascinator, exact one

I miss Holy Week very much in the Philippines -- the singing of the Passion of Christ every night of Holy Week, the Mass of the Last Supper and then the meals shared by the congregation after Mass, the Easter Vigil, the Salubong before Easter Vigil.

Our family traditions do not include egg-dyeing (may I blame not growing up here?) nor the gifts from the Easter bunny.

But we do have some traditions ~
going to Mass on Holy Thursday
going to Good Friday service (thankfully I am not on residency anymore so I can actually plan ahead and take this day off)
Easter egg hunt at our deanery's highschool
our own Easter Egg hunt
Easter Sunday Mass

Now I can add wearing a fascinator for Easter and other special occasions as a tradition. Though hubs admitted that he did not like the fascinator at all. I like my wife simple, he said.

I gave him a confused look because I do like dressing up and sometimes I can go over the top with the accessories. He said he does not mind the clothes and shoes and accessories but the fascinator was a bit much.

D and I got the children books for Easter. Here they are if you'd like ideas for birthdays, First Communion or feastday gifts.

For Daniel ~

For Isabel ~ good for her a she develops her reading skills. This is above her reading level right now.

For Bastian ~ this was the most read book so far! I love it myself. Easy to understand paraphrase of well-loved Psalm of the Good Shepherd.

For Lucy~ I am thinking we (and Isabel and Daniel) can read this with her.

For Lucas~ a boardbook for the busy boy. The next most read book after Found. Right at Isabel's reading level.

We got Daniel the Action book Bible already. So the storybook Bible went to Isabel. Otherwise, the storybook Bible would have been better for Daniel's reading level.

How about you? what are your Holy Week and Easter traditions?
What books do you recommend for children?
