cute finds from the JCPenney Carter's Baby Sale
//affiliate links are used//
As an infant, my family dressed me in all whites. My grandma preferred that before we turned one year old, that we wore white. You should have seen her face when I showed her my babies in brown, orange, and dark blue clothing!

As a mom of five, I finally saw the "white appeal." It's just so fresh-looking and cute. I'm still not dressing my children in all white all day everyday. Hence I love dressing my babies in neutrals and light colored clothing... with white onesies of cute prints.
I enjoy shopping for my babies. For my girls, there are many colorful and affordable styles that won't break the bank. With my sons, light color of blues and grays are my go-to colors. I can get away with whites and creams when they are very young - no solids yet!
I'm so thrilled to partner with JCPenney and ShopStyle and shop their Carter's September baby sale! I found light blue and gray favorites for Lucas. I picked up "wear now" items for such affordable prices. Carter's knits are so, so soft. When I shop Carter's at JCPenney, I know I will be getting quality clothing for an awesome deal!

1. Black is forgiving. Here I was in the middle of the summer still sporting athleisure like none other because nothing fit post baby. Black capris and a flowy white top to the rescue.
How I will miss summer ~ when I can wear short sleeves or sleeveless tops.
I am not quite ready to layer yet.
2. Getting chillier here specially in the mornings. Soccer games are in full motion. Thanks to auntie Feli, Uncle D and Auntie Cora for getting the boys their shin guards and new cleats!
We still need to get a goal net for the boys. what do you all think of this one vs this one? We will put the gc to good use!

Happy birthday, Bastian!
your jersey says 3, but you are an awesome 4-year-old. Your hashtag is not true anymore. You're not serious. Instead, you're funny, happy and so full of love and energy. I love our morning drop offs to preschool. It's just you and me and I get to hold your hand.
You're my first "surprise" baby, not wanting to know in advance your gender while you're in utero.
You love nerf guns like your brother D.
You love to dress up too like your sister Belle.
You shower Lucas with lots of kisses. You always ask if you can hold or give him a hug.
You are our early-riser. We don't need an alarm clock because you are up at 6:30 on the dot every morning. Starting Preschool was easy with you. There were no tears, just lots of smiles.
Hope you had a blast at the pool today. And thanks for changing your mind on your HP costume party... Because I was not ready. Now I just have to find something bright orange and black to match this guy.
Love you!

last summer hoorah + more quick takes
Isabel's suit, Old Navy, hers is sold out.
Lucy's suit, Janie and Jack, hers also sold out.
1. My family's last summer hoorah was this past weekend.
We drove 3 hours north of Indy and went to the beach of Lake Michigan. I have lots and lots of photos but they will have to be resized. I added a few above and I still have 200+ more. Not that I will share all 200+.
The children were so excited Friday night. They were asking as soon as school was out if we can drive to the beach already.
They are definitely my children. They love the beach and the sun and the (cool) water. Isabel and Daniel practiced their glides and floats. I went to the water while watching them. It took awhile till I submerged my body to waist-deep water. I had to get those receptors used to the cold freshwater.
The waves were calm that I let the children swim. Last month, the waves were so high and rip currents were pretty scary.
SW Michigan was also a lot quieter than last month. School started to tourists from Indiana and Chicago did not flock New Buffalo. I bet Labor Day weekend is another story though.
