I like finding ways to teach our children about their saint names. We celebrate their feastdays. We talk about their lives and how they showed their love for Jesus. When I find books about their saints, I borrow them from the library or get a copy for our family library.
I am glad I found this wonderful shop by Mary. I saw how cute these dolls are and I just had to get my children their saint dolls namesake. Also, I love supporting small shops and businesses.
Here are the children opening their packages.
The dolls are perfect for their little hands. Like the name of her shop: it's perfect! I already found Sebastian several times playing by himself and holding St. Sebastian and pretend-talking to the other saint dolls.
Isabel is mesmerized by Queen Isabel of Portugal and her crown and her dress.
Daniel commented right away on the lion on his doll. Then he proceeded to talk about the story of Daniel in the lion's den.
Lucy... oh well... she will get to enjoy her saint doll when she's older.
The shop has a lot of already painted dolls. They are your popular saints like St. Francis of Assissi and St. Therese of Lisieux (lucy's name sake as well). She also has Sacred Heart of Jesus and Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Bastian, Daniel and Isabel did not have dolls for their saints. Thankfully, Mary has the "custom order option." She is so easy to get in touch with via email. At first I was thinking of giving her ideas of what I want to see... but I did not want to hinder her creativity. I trusted that she would come up with my vision! I was not disappointed! I am so thrilled that she captured the saints very well.
She is very nice to also have made Daniel the prophet. He is a saint, yes, because he is in heaven. Although we do not say: Saint Daniel, instead it's prophet Daniel.
here's a close-up of the dolls.
Look at St. Sebastian and the arrows!
And here's St. Lucy. She's very pretty!

These beautiful dolls are perfect Baptism, First Communion, Birthdays and Confirmation gifts. They are the best for toddlers and preschoolers. But you can also give them to a teen as a keepsake. I appreciate Mary giving me St. Gianna... She will join me in clinic!
