eleven years

I used to be so sad when autumn starts. That meant summer is over and that winter is coming soon.

Being with hubs changed my attitude towards autumn. It is now a favorite season of mine. I got engaged in October. Then got married a year later, also in October. Autumn is also football season. I am already a Colts fan before we started dating. But the fandom grew since I married him. One cannot not enjoy football when married to Derrick. He is a numbers guy and knows stats for football (college or pro.. or even highschool).

Our wedding day is the Feast of the Our Lady of the Rosary. We could not have picked an even better day for our wedding (besides Christmas or Easter!)

I am not sad when autumn comes anymore. I enjoy the changing colors of the leaves and trees. I embrace the layering and chilly mornings. I welcome it with a big smile... on my face and in my heart.

We change because of the people we love. We learn to like what they like, until we end up loving what they enjoy.

blog-versary!

happy 10 years old, disisd.
This blog started as d-isis. since it was just me and hubs... then once we have added more and more munchkins, it just made sense to change this to disisd. the D at the end is because of the D-crew.

To celebrate a decade of being a blogger, I am giving away a few of my favorite things. A couple are for winter months.

Another winter treasure ~ you'd be ready once the autumn and winter chills arrive. You will be cozy and warm with your new blanket scarf! {Sorry I just went to look for a stock photo and they are all sold out... I will update this with a picture of the actual scarf I have bought}

I love to doodle. Although I type/blog, I still enjoy a good planner with lots and lots of cute markers and pens. I use these everyday on my planner and when jotting down Scripture, to-do lists, meal preps. Name it.

Lastly, I am sharing a canvas print of the Morning Offering Prayer. we have this at our home. I made this digitally and would like to send a reader an 8 x 10 canvas print of this prayer.

12 plus 10 plus 4 plus 1

What are those numbers up there?

Is this a pop Math quiz? Are you prepared?

Instead of using the title: anniversary photos ~ I came up with the silly idea of numbers.

12 stands for 12 years together with hubs.

10 is the number of years married to this guy.

4 is the number of babies we have.

1 since we have baby D5 on the way.

I love how these professional photos turned out. Hubs was such a sport. He just went with the flow when I told him I registered us for a mini photo session. I emphasized mini because the whole hour with an outfit change is not going to fly with this guy. He is used to being the person behind the camera while I pose for my outfit photos.

This space has been neglected. There's a valid reason, promise.

I wore this dress on our anniversary weekend at the Outer Banks. It was the first time we used AirBnB. Kati decorated our love nest for the weekend so beautifully. It's perfect for small families too as it has its own living room and kitchenette. The second bedroom is available if you have party of 4 or more. see the cute chalk messages? the shells? we did not get to use the pool but we dipped in the hot tub and I also used the hammock!

I saw this pretty dress on the sale rack of Anthro and I knew when and where I'd wear it.

At this point, we already knew we were expecting baby D5. Because of all the ZIKA scare, we cancelled Miami and decided on NC instead.

Finally posting the anniv dress i wore for our anniv date night.
I bought this thinking it will be for Lucy's baptism... but decided against it and wore this instead.

high low can be hit or miss for me. This one is a homerun... It ended up looking blog-worthy with the clutch and the bangles.

The Vince Camuto one is on sale with limited sizes and less than $80! deal for a Vince Camuto....

Dinner was delish. The filet was mouth watering! two thumbs up!

We split a bottle of wine -- but did not finish it.

It felt like I had my iron stores for the week/month with all that red meat.

what an anniversary

I have been pretty spoiled. We have ALWAYS gone out on our anniv night whether it's a Monday or Tuesday or any other day even after having babies. We have awesome parents who can babysit while we go out even though it's only for a quick dinner out by ourselves.

This year was different. We knew with soccer games and work that we won't be able to do that anymore.

anyway.. I wore this pink outfit on our anniv day. I got home pretty late from work. I was not planning that. I was not able to say goodbye to my sis and her fam before they headed home.... I wore the necklace she got me because I thought I will see her.....
