Our May open to interpretation theme is ~ polka dots! Did you get it? just from the title?
I don't have many polka dot items in my wardrobe. I have lots and lots of stripes but not polka dots. I wish I have more because polka dots are fun!
They can be a struggle sometimes to style because it's a print that I tend to pair with solids. However, this time, I added some edginess to the outfit by using my rockstud crossbody bag by Valentino and my pre-loved YSL flats that I scored last year at the FP outlet site. The busted knees of the skinnies definitely gave this look a very low-key, casual feel.
I wore this to last week's bowling with the fam. Derrick redeemed my score by bowling the last two sets for me. I was feeding the baby so it was a good excuse to "step away" and let the hubs save my sad low score. I also played billiards against my eldest. All the shots I made were just pure luck. I love geometry but applying it with a stick and billiard balls ~ don't rely on me to win the game.
It was a wonderful time/week with my dad and brother visiting. The children adore their lolo and uncle. I will miss them since their vacation in Indy is over. Besides them helping out with the kids (oh I was spoiled taking a shower and taking my time changing because another adult was watching the children/baby), we also had a great time just hanging out and doing lots of activities. We went to the children's museum on their last day in Indy.
